Architectural Integration and Common Area Activation

The design goal for this commission was to tastefully activate this inert A-frame facade, featured prominently at one of the entrances to this design-forward multifamily property, which also functions a common area with overhang porch.

Using thoughtfully placed abstract shapes with generous negative space, we lifted the visual dynamic of the building, evoking the energy and feeling of walking under the trees in Florida’s wetlands. The colors incorporate the property’s color study, while adding a pop of periwinkle for a soothing, elegant, and slightly mystical touch.

The overhang porch area is designed to feel purely atmospheric, without detracting from the A-frame centerpiece, inspired by herons and cranes in a blue-hued oasis. The colors are low-contrast with slight variations in hue to created an immersive, peaceful feeling when gathering on the porch.

This piece is in conversation with the other exterior site at Brisolé, on the other side of the property, and was designed to feel of the same motif, but distinct, in order to feel more like artwork versus a print or applied graphic.
