The original brief called for a figurative sunset scene. Pure Hart Studio proposed something different. The corridor offered no distance — residents would experience the mural from six feet away, walking past at an angle, never able to take in a full scene at once. A literal illustration would dissolve at that proximity. What the wall needed instead was color and rhythm: shape and motion that felt tropical, felt Florida, without spelling it out. The result matched the elevated sensibility of the property itself — abstract, considered, almost textile in its precision — rather than a postcard scene that would have undersold it.
