Some of our favorite placemaking work lives in quietly extraordinary spaces. The kind of places where someone is doing what they love to do. Places filled with history and personality. Places where people create, work, grow, and connect. A beloved neighborhood diner; a mystical vintage shop in the mountains; a school hallway full of potential; a retro cinema in an 18th century church. For each of these projects, we start by getting to know the people who know them best. And every time, the design appears.
